NGC 5796 is a 11.6 likes bright elliptical galaxy from the Hubble type E3 in the constellation Libra on the ecliptic and about 126 million light-years from the Milky Way center.

It was discovered on May 23, 1884 by Ernst Wilhelm Leberecht Tempel .
