NGC 5835 is a 14.4 likes bright spiral galaxy of Hubble type Sa in the constellation Bootes north of the celestial equator , an estimated 363 million light-years from the Milky Way 's center.
The object was discovered by Lewis A. Swift on April 23, 1887 .
