NGC 5862 is a 14.9 mag bright compact galaxy of the Hubble type C in the constellation Dragon in the northern sky . It is estimated to be 399 million light-years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of about 60,000 ly. a. the galaxies NGC 5826 , NGC 5866 , NGC 5867 , NGC 5870 .
The object was discovered by Lewis Swift on June 11, 1885 .
