NGC 5826 = NGC 5870 is a 14.4 mag bright, lens-shaped galaxy of the Hubble-type S0 in the constellation of Dragon and about 43 million light-years away from the Milky Way.

It was discovered on June 9, 1885 by Lewis A. Swift , who wrote “Star near; [GC] 4058 [= NGC 5866] in field “noted. With a right ascension error of almost 7 minutes he "discovered" her again two nights later, which led to the second entry in the catalog.
