NGC 5875 is a 12.5 mag bright spiral galaxy with an active nucleus of the Hubble type Sb in the constellation Bear Keeper and about 164 million light years from the Milky Way.
It was discovered on May 1, 1788 by Wilhelm Herschel with an 18.7-inch reflector telescope, who described it as "pB, pL, lE".
