NGC 6537 , also known as the Red Spider Nebula (English red spider ) is a planetary nebula in the constellation Sagittarius . The white dwarf in the center of the nebula , the remnant of an original star, generates a wind of around 10,000 Kelvin that blows at speeds of 2,000 to 4,500 kilometers per second . The star is probably one of the hottest known.
The planetary nebula NGC 6537 was discovered on July 15, 1882 by the American astronomer Edward Charles Pickering .
