Neualm is a village , the cadastral community Oberalm II and a district of Hallein with 3605 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020) in the Hallein district in the Salzburger Land in Austria .

Neualm is located north of the confluence of the Almbach in the Salzach . The Salzach forms the western border of Neualm.

history
Until 1938, Neualm was part of the municipality of Oberalm , which was forcibly incorporated into the city of Hallein when Austria was annexed to Nazi Germany. On June 11, 1952, with the law on the re-establishment of a market town of Oberalm, Oberalm became independent again, but Neualm remained with the city of Hallein.
