The Adneter Riedl ( Riedl = 'back, mountain ridge '), northern part also called Heuberg ( 556  m above sea level ), is the almost 100 m high relief tongue that separates the Adneter Talung on the lower Almbach from the Salzachtal and extends to Bad Vigaun extends. Its northern border forms the narrow point of the Almbach to the Oberalmberg , the Vorderwiestal ; to the south it runs out into the terrace of Weinleiten above the Taugl . To the east, the Riedl forms a foothill of the Schlenken - Schmittenstein massif ( 1648  m above sea level / 1695  m above sea level ).

The settlement at the north-west foot of the mountain belongs to Hallein as a district and also forms the Adnet II cadastral community . The rest of the elevation and salt axis-side templates in the northern part belong to Adnet as Riedl and include the hamlet of Mayerhof with truck lift and other scattered houses to the south. The village of Aigen and the hamlets of Eibl , Stocker and Wallmann in the south form the village of Riedl in the Bad Vigaun community.

Today, Riedl has a total of around 200 buildings and around 550 inhabitants, around two-fifths of them in the Hallein urban area and around one-fifth each in Adnet and Vigaun.

The agricultural settlement area is considered a good location and, as a walking mountain, is an important local recreation area in the city. The wide view of the panorama of the Hallein basin gives (from south to north) a view of the Tennengebirge , the Hagengebirge , the Göllmassiv with the Roßfeld as well as views of the Untersberg and the Salzburg Pre-Alps (Osterhorngruppe).

history

The Heuberg and the right Salzach valley in front of it, the Adneter Gries , originally belonged, as the name suggests, to Adnet, the southern layers of the Riedl to Vigaun. After the connection of Austria by Nazi Germany in 1938 everywhere were formed in Austria large municipalities. The area near the Almbach was forcibly incorporated into the city of Hallein on January 1, 1939 ("Groß-Hallein", hence the number "2." of the Hallein cadastral community). In return, Adnet received the Almbach-right bank of the Vorderwiestal, which had previously belonged to the Oberalm community, which was dissolved at the same time . Since the Oberalmer vigorously resisted the incorporation after the war and the market town was restored in 1952, the Vorderwiestal came back to Oberalm; Gries and the Hallein Riedl settlement stayed with Hallein.

Individual evidence

  1. a b c Numbering is common for cadastral parishes in Austria.
  2. Formally, the eastern flank of the Riedl also belongs to the Adneter village of Riedl. This is uninhabited.
  3. Oberalm celebrated its separation from Hallein 50 years ago. Interesting presentation of regional history by the director of the regional archive, Fritz Koller, in "Our Land" , Salzburger Landeskorrespondenz, March 26, 2002.
