action
Eliza is a mom and a blogger. She lives with her family in two apartments on the third floor in the middle of New York, opposite the elementary school. On the sixth birthday of her daughter Clara, Eliza still has to run some errands for the birthday party. In the morning the family leaves the house to take Clara to school and to move the car for street cleaning. Once on the street, Eliza first notices that she is still in her nightgown and has forgotten her daughter's bag. In the meantime, your husband has seen a box of books that he is collecting. Then she goes upstairs alone to get the bag and change. She publishes a message on her blog and, after entering it, receives a message in a pop-up window that a women's magazine has advertised a competition. Articles with 500 words should explain what mother means and the first place gets a job with the magazine.
When she arrives at school, she meets her best friend Sheila and it occurs to her that the family dog has not yet been taken out. Arriving at the car where her husband Avery and son Lucas are waiting, she informs him that the dog still has to get out. Avery himself has no time because he has to go to an appointment and is on his way. So Eliza has to go up again with her son and then down again with the dog to walk the dog and move the car for the street cleaning. After reparking, she goes to the park with her son and starts the article. During this time, Jodie Foster also enters the park with her daughter and insults the paparazzi. Meanwhile, her street was closed for filming and her car was towed away. Back at home, she continues to write the article for the competition, which is to be controlled by Avery. While Avery takes care of Lucas, Eliza runs the errands for the birthday party by bike and keeps getting into conflict with other people.
Back at home, the messenger Nikesh hands her an envelope for the man. He helps her carry the bags up and they get to know each other better in their apartment. Even before everything is prepared for the birthday party, she reads the review of her work. The criticism makes her angry and she decides to run away. When she arrived in New Jersey and spoke to her husband on the phone, she changed her mind and celebrated the sixth birthday of her daughter Clara with the family. After the party ends, Avery informs his wife that the box with the books contained a first signed work by an important writer and that he received several thousands of dollars for it. The film ends when the family watches the evening filming.

Reviews
“As a mother of two and a would-be writer, she is overwhelmed by a stressful everyday life - neither particularly entertaining nor somehow funny staged by director Katherine Dieckmann. It is all too understandable that the lame comedy was spared its ruin in the cinema. "
"A hardly amusing comedy about the pitfalls of modern motherhood, which is largely lost in bloodless clichés and arouses little sympathy and interest for its characters."
