North Anson is a village within the area of the Town of Anson in Somerset County in the state of Maine in the United States .

Between 1845 and 1855 North Anson was an independent town, which was organized out of the Anson area. This was repealed in 1855 and North Anson became part of Town Anson again. With the "Union Advocate" North Anson owned a weekly local and county newspaper, which was published every Wednesday by Albert Moore & Son. The Ansons Academy was also located in North Anson.

Two fires in 1863 and 1913 destroyed large parts of North Anson. However, North Anson has a smaller downtown area with commercial buildings, churches, a post office and, with the Stewart Public Library , a library.
