Nußbach is a municipality in Upper Austria in the Kirchdorf an der Krems district in the Traunviertel with 2305 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020).
The responsible judicial district is Kirchdorf an der Krems.
geography
Nussbach lies at an altitude of 464 m in the Traunviertel. The extension is 8.4 km from north to south and 6.6 km from west to east. The total area is 30.4 km². 20.7% of the area is forested and 69.4% of the area is used for agriculture.

history
Originally located in the eastern part of the Duchy of Bavaria , the place belonged to the Duchy of Austria since the 12th century . Since 1490 it has been assigned to the Principality of Austria ob der Enns . During the Napoleonic Wars , the place was occupied several times.
Since 1918 the place belongs to the federal state of Upper Austria. After the annexation of Austria to the German Reich on March 13, 1938, the place belonged to the Gau Oberdonau . After 1945 the restoration of Upper Austria took place.
The family seat of the Sinzendorfer was in Sinzendorf .

Nussgeist: The health elixir Nutgeist has been made from the original Nußbacher Nussgeist spice, green walnuts and fine brandies for over 100 years. Only if this liqueur is made in Nußbach (Upper Austria) with Nußbacher walnuts, it may carry the protected area name Nußbacher Nussgeist .

- Weissen am Sattl lookout point :
The Weißen am Sattl observation tower is located at an altitude of 764 m and is therefore the highest point in Nussbach. It was completed in 1997/98 and has been a magnet for locals and tourists ever since. If the view is clear, the state capital Linz can be seen in the north . The Pyhrn-Eisenwurzen region and parts of the Kremstal can be seen to the south .
