Oberndorf is a part of the municipality of Pommersfelden in the Upper Franconian district of Bamberg .
geography
The village is surrounded by arable land and grassland. The Reiche Ebrach flows south of the village , into which the Egelsgraben flows as a left tributary.
history
Oberndorf was first mentioned in the Würzburg Lehenbuch from 1303. Places that have directions in their names are mostly late spin-offs. Oberndorf was probably founded from Sambach . The Lords of Egloffstein had a seat in the neighboring pond and an estate in Oberndorf. The Schlüsselau Abbey also had landlord claims in the village. In 1404 Albrecht and Hartung von Egloffstein sold their claims to Peter Esel. In 1410 he sold the property to Peter Truchseß von Pommersfelden . With the extinction of the Truchseß von Pommersfelden in 1710, their property, which also included Oberndorf, fell to the Elector Lothar Franz von Schönborn . Weiher and Oberndorf formed a community as early as the 16th century, as evidenced by a village order from 1584.
Towards the end of the 18th century there were 15 properties and a community shepherd's house in Oberndorf. The high court exercised the Schönborn rule in Pommersfelden . It had to be delivered to the Bamberg center of Bechhofen . The village and community rulership was held by Pommersfelden. The landlords were the bishopric of Bamberg ( Kastenamt Bechhofen : 1 Gülthof, Kastenamt Schlüsselau : 2 courtyards, 1 Gütlein, 4 Sölden ), the Pommersfelden lordship (1 estate, 5 Sölden) and the Pommersfelden parish (1 estate).
In 1802 the Bamberg estates in Oberndorf became part of Bavaria , and in 1806 also those of the Pommersfelden rulership. As part of the community edict in 1808 that were tax district and the Rural Municipality Sambach formed to which the village belonged. With the second community edict (1818) the rural community Oberndorf was formed, to which Weiher belonged. In administration and jurisdiction it was subordinate to the regional court of Höchstadt and in financial administration to the Rent Office of Höchstadt . In the voluntary jurisdiction and the local police, the Pommersfelden Patrimonial Court was responsible for the entire place until 1848. From 1862 Oberndorf was subordinate to the district office of Höchstadt an der Aisch (renamed in 1938 to the district of Höchstadt an der Aisch ) and continued to the rent office of Höchstadt (1920–1929: tax office Höchstadt , from 1929: tax office Forchheim ). The jurisdiction remained with the District Court of Höchstadt until 1879, from 1880 to 1959 it was with the District Court of Höchstadt and from 1959 with the District Court of Forchheim . The municipality had an area of 5.238 km².
Until June 30, 1972 Oberndorf belonged to the dissolved district of Höchstadt an der Aisch . The municipality of Oberndorf was incorporated into the municipality of Pommersfelden on May 1, 1978 as part of the regional reform in Bavaria .
