The men's 100-meter freestyle swimming competition at the 1952 Olympic Games in Helsinki was held on July 26th and 27th. The American Clarke Scholes won the gold medal. Silver went to Hiroshi Suzuki from Japan and bronze to Göran Larsson from Sweden.
