The Pälzer Ausles' (founded on July 30, 1979 in Ludwigshafen am Rhein ) is an association of successful Palatinate athletes who primarily collect donations for the socially disadvantaged at charity matches in football .

meaning

The Pälzer Ausles' has a total of nine Olympic victories, more than a dozen world championships, 17 European championships, over 300 German championships and numerous international appearances. On July 30, 1979, this friendly association of international and national top athletes from the Palatinate was founded in Ludwigshafen am Rhein. The members come from 16 different disciplines. The unofficial "boss" is the former district administrator of the Rhine-Palatinate district Werner Schröter . Almost 60 members belong to this association, which, however, is not an official association.

Over the years almost all top athletes in the Palatinate have come together. The members often take on social tasks voluntarily. So far, the elite athletes have completed well over 300 charity football matches, which have generated almost one million euros in donations.

Well-known members include Olympic champions such as Wilfried Dietrich (wrestling) or Alois Bierl (rowing), Helmut Bantz (artistic gymnastics) or Gregor Braun (cycling), Gerhard Auer (rowing) or Ronny Weller (weightlifting), Stefan Steinweg (cycling) and Peter Trump (hockey). Even Fritz Walter belonged until his death in this county, as well as football referee Markus Merk , former artistic gymnastics national coach Philip prince or football World Champion Horst Eckel .

target

The Pälzer Ausles' basically plays for a good cause. Tournaments and deposit games are played throughout the year.
