PDC Awards Dinner

The PDC Annual Awards Dinner is a ceremony held by the Professional Darts Corporation since 2007 , at which the best players of the previous year are honored at the beginning of each new year. The ceremony traditionally takes place at The Dorchester in London .

particularities

There are a total of eight categories in which players are awarded. In addition, there is the "Nine Dart Club", to which those players are admitted every year who threw a nine dart finish in the previous year . Anyone who managed to do this in a so-called major tournament that is broadcast on television will receive a gold pin. Whoever achieved this in a so-called ProTour tournament, which is not broadcast on television, will receive a silver pin. In the "Fans 'Player of the Year" category, the fans on the PDC website vote for their favorite, in the "Players' Player of the Year" category, the PDC players vote for the favorite from their own ranks. The "Hall of Fame" category, which existed before the first award dinner and into which new members are not accepted every year, has a special position. In addition, the "Most Improved Players" were honored in the "Best Newcomer" category in 2013 and 2016 instead.
