Paris Saint-Germain Handball , known as Paris Saint-Germain or just PSG , is a French handball club based in the capital Paris .
history
The club was founded in 1941 under the name "Asnières Sports". In 1989 the handball department of the club broke up and from then on called itself "Paris-Asnières". In 1992, “Paris-Asnières” was merged into Club Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and was now called “PSG-Asnières”. 2001 left the handball department Paris Saint-Germain again and became "Paris Handball" (also "Paris HB" for short). After the 2008/09 season they were relegated to the 2nd division, but could return to the House of Lords after one season .
In 2012, the club was able to significantly strengthen the team with financial support from Qatar Sports Investments (QSi), an investor group from the Emirate of Qatar . In addition to the then world handball player Mikkel Hansen , the French national team Didier Dinart , Samuel Honrubia and Luc Abalo were newcomers .
