Pat Cadigan
Patricia Oren Kearney Cadigan (born September 10, 1953 in Schenectady , New York ) is an American science fiction writer. Her works are mostly assigned to the genre of cyberpunk .
Life
Raised in Fitchburg , Massachusetts , she attended the University of Massachusetts and the University of Kansas , where she studied drama and took lessons from James Gunn . After graduating in 1975, she worked for llmark Cards as a writer and editor. In 1978 she published her first short story and has been a freelance writer since 1987.
She has a son with her first husband, Arnie Fenner. In May 1996 she married Chris Fowler, with whom she lives in north London .
