Petry's debut single Sommer in der Stadt was also taken from this LP and was Petry's first hit with rank 16. With this piece he appeared on the ZDF hit parade on July 31, 1976 . tape

At the beginning of his career, Petry appeared on television shows with playback musicians . In 1996 he was looking for a suitable band to present his music live. His manager at the time, Armin Rahn, who also represented the band The Public, established contact between Petry and the members of this group. The "Petry-Band" was then occupied by Axel Kowollik (bass), Rolf Pröpper (guitar), Richard Schuster (drums), Rainer Jäger (keyboard) and Wolfgang Petry (vocals). Bernd Kühl joined the team as a guitarist and the band went on various stadium tours. The most famous tour took place in 1999. The concert in what was then the Georg Melches Stadium in Essen was called Wolfgang Petry - Simply Geil! released on DVD. The band, which consisted mostly of rock 'n' roll musicians, gave Petry's music a new style. Schlager was combined with rock, which had a great influence on his live concerts.
