Peter Heinz (born June 1, 1973 in Nastätten ) is a German director for film and advertising , creative director and producer .

Life

Peter Heinz grew up in the area around Diez in Rhineland-Palatinate and near Weilburg in Hesse .

At an early age, Heinz gained his first technical film experience abroad at the regional broadcaster Wien1 (W1) in Vienna ( Austria ). In January 2000, W1 was expanded into an Austria-wide program called ATV . After a few broadcasts as an editor at ATV, he moved to the Rosenhügel film studios of the ORF , where he was able to expand and deepen his TV and film experience.

Heinz spent a number of years in different countries and cities abroad, including London , Tokyo , Marbella , Milan and Amsterdam , before returning to Germany.

Career

With his international experience in various areas of TV and film production , Heinz took over the leading position as executive producer and director at Mediaplan-TV GmbH in Frankfurt am Main in 2006 . There he produced TV commercials and image films for an international clientele.

In 2007 he made the safety film Electrician Horst on behalf of a customer in Koblenz , which has meanwhile been seen more than 7 million times. After Cologne it drew Heinz in 2008, where he in the realization of the WDR broadcast reality show format The Junk King participated. For the Cologne-based W e erbeagentur f acts and fiction Heinz accompanied the production of corporate videos, including for Bayer AG , Ford , B. Braun and many others. Heinz was confronted with the topic of domestic violence in 2010 when he realized the international charity TV spot Stairs for the BFF together with the advertising agency Young & Rubicam and Raketenfilm from Frankfurt . Stairs has won the renowned Red Dot Design Award twice , as well as the Global at the Global Awards in 2010.

After a few years in advertising , Heinz broadened his experience in movie production. In 2010, the film by the North German director Michael Söth Farmer's Breakfast - The Film was made in the open-air museum Molfsee near Kiel . This was 2011 in the cinemas . Parallel devoted Heinz in 2010 his first screenplay as a writer for his feature film debut in The Shadow (working title). In the role of screenwriter , director and producer , he took on three key positions in the cinema production. Heinz staged the youth drama based on a true story, partly at original locations. The movie in which Eva Habermann , Ralf Richter , Mackie Heilmann in guest roles, Mathis Landwehr , Björn Ahrens , Nadine Heidenreich, Kieron Freilang, Mathias Harrebye-Brandt , Alexander Czerwinski and Markus Böker , in the main and supporting roles, came to an end Shot in 2011 in Flensburg. However, no cinema or television performance is known.

In 2013 he was the first German director to be invited to Libya by the government of Libya together with cameraman Mike Eiers and thus received the first official filming permit after the fall of Muammar al-Gaddafi . He was also the first director worldwide to be granted access to the fortress of As-Saraya al-Hamra for filming.
