Philipp Walulis
Philipp Xaver Walulis (born August 5, 1980 in Starnberg ) is a German radio , internet and television presenter .
Career
Walulis grew up in Pöcking in Upper Bavaria . After studying theater and communication science as well as psychology at the LMU , he began his career in 2004 as a moderator and department head at the Munich radio station M94.5 . There he developed the late night program m94.5nachtgestalten , which u. a. parodied typical radio elements such as joke calls or satirically dealt with the urge to optimize private radio stations. For this program, which was broadcast from 2004 to 2006, he received the young talent award from the Bavarian Broadcasting and Foundation Listening and the radio award from the Bavarian State Center for New Media . For an April Fool's joke , he renamed the station SHIT.fm for two hours . Mainstream channels were parodied with the motto "The biggest shit of the 80s & 90s and the stupidest sayings of today". No song lasted longer than 1:30 minutes. Two hours moderated Breakfast Bernie along with Karin Kicherschlampe "the best morning show of all time." There were advertisements for Puke Duke , the beer with a cinnamon and vanilla flavor, a speed camera report without speed cameras and lots of puffed up jingles . The satire of the format radio hurt the ears of some of the regular M94.5 listeners so much that they visited the station to request their radio back with banners. In 2006 he switched to Bayerischer Rundfunk and its youth programs on3 and Zündfunk .
In 2007, together with his colleagues from M94.5, the satirical project Aggro Grünwald - The Stand-Up Collars was created . He developed several young upstart figures as yacht master or MC Erbgraf and produced the rap video Your poverty sick of us . Walulis and his colleagues did not identify themselves, but instead played the role of arrogant unsympaths for weeks. Many big media like u. a. 3sat , the taz or the Süddeutsche Zeitung fell for this parody first. Only over time did it become apparent that with this action he was criticizing the posh- chic attitude of rich kids. For this parody of the Munich crowd and the fool of the media, he was awarded the local television prize of the Bavarian State Center for New Media in 2009.
From 2008 to 2010 he was the presenter of the daily live broadcast MyPokito on RTL II . In 2010/11 he hosted the talk show Philipp and Philipp are talking on münchen.TV with Philipp Seidel . From 2011 to 2013 he worked as a reporter for the weekly live television program DASDING.tv for Südwestrundfunk . At the end of 2011, Walulis started the television satire Walulis sucht Fern on Tele 5 , for which he was awarded the Grimme Prize in the entertainment category in 2012 and which ran from May 2012 until EinsPlus was discontinued at the end of September 2016 on ARD . From the end of February 2013, the satirical program Extra 3 on NDR also featured the regular column “Walulis sucht Fern”.
In 2015 he also presented the TV satire Die Fernsehen with Pierre M. Krause and Jeannine Michaelsen , which was broadcast on the main ARD program .
In 2016 and 2017 he and his production company produced some clips for the Walulis' media types section of the NDR media magazine ZAPP .
Since 2016 he has contributed a weekly review to the late-night show Ringlstetter produced by David Schalko . He is also a regular on Deutschlandfunk in the satire column Is' was ?! to listen.
Since 2016 Walulis has been moderating the broadcast WALULIS on YouTube , a kind of follow-up format to Walulis watches television , for the youth program funk from ARD and ZDF . There he mostly deals satirically with television programs, current topics as well as YouTubers and their formats. In Make The Internet Great Again By Philipp Walulis he shows the development of the Walulis format and also let the audience participate in the creation. In September 2019 the daily format "Walulis Daily" started, in which he satirically reproduces the news.
