Piethen is a district of the city of Southern Anhalt in the Anhalt-Bitterfeld district in Saxony-Anhalt . Until it was incorporated into the city of Southern Anhalt on September 1, 2010, Piethen was an independent municipality that had 272 inhabitants on December 31, 2007. Piethen has 238 inhabitants (2016).
