Trebbichau an der Fuhne is a district of the city of Southern Anhalt in the Anhalt-Bitterfeld district in Saxony-Anhalt (Germany).
geography
The village of Trebbichau an der Fuhne lies between the district town of Köthen (Anhalt) and Halle (Saale) . The area around the section of the Fuhne flowing to the northwest is poorly forested and used intensively for agriculture. To the north the terrain rises gradually to 97 m above sea level. NHN an; south of the Fuhne, which marks the border to the Saalekreis here , the 250 m high Petersberg rises .
history
Trebbichau (Trebucouuici) is mentioned for the first time in a deed of donation from the year 951 by Otto the Great to Margrave Gero . Then it appears in a document in 1484, the current district of Hohnsdorf is mentioned in 1156. The explanation of the name is difficult to understand. In dialect we still say “Drebbiche” today, which is interpreted as “Gut des Trêbich” and means something like useful, skillful, capable or pretty.
The 11th century Hohnsdorf Church is one of the oldest in the district.
On July 1, 1950, the previously independent community of Hohnsdorf was incorporated.
Until December 31, 2009, Trebbichau an der Fuhne was an independent municipality with the associated district of Hohnsdorf. 372 inhabitants lived on a community area of 4.23 km² (December 31, 2008). On January 1, 2010, Trebbichau joined the newly formed city of Southern Anhalt . The last mayor of Trebbichau an der Fuhne was Elfe Glauch.

Trebbichau is on the road connection from Köthen (Anhalt) to Halle (Saale) . The Löbejün motorway junction is 7 km west of Trebbichau ( A 14 Magdeburg - Halle ). The nearest railway station is located in the nine kilometers away Weißandt-Gölzau (line Magdeburg - Halle).
