Großbadegast is a district of the city of Southern Anhalt in the Anhalt-Bitterfeld district in Saxony-Anhalt .

history
Bather was first mentioned in 1162. In 1370 bather was divided into large and small bather, earlier also written large and small bather. In Großbadegast there was a manor that belonged to the Duke of Anhalt-Köthen . In Kleinbadegast there was a manor and sheep farm belonging to the Baron von Salmuth.
Until the new formation of the unified community of Southern Anhalt on January 1, 2010, Großbadegast was an independent community in the administrative community of Southern Anhalt with the associated districts of Kleinbadegast and Pfriemsdorf. The last mayor of Großbadegast was Sören Friedrich.

Buildings
Church in Großbadegast with a two-winged altar from the 16th century and the high altar from 1862. In 2019 it received new church windows designed by the well-known artist Tony Cragg .
