The Piscina Municipal de Montjuïc is a swimming pool in the Spanish city of Barcelona .

history

It was built in 1929 on a slope of the Montjuïc city ​​mountain and originally comprised a 50-meter pool. On the occasion of the Mediterranean Games in 1955 it was renovated. In 1990, renovation work began for the 1992 Summer Olympics . The pool was divided into a facility for diving and a 25-meter pool. During the Olympics there in the competitions found Diving and Water Polo Tournament held.

At the FINA World Championships in 2003 and 2013 , the swimming pool for the competitions has been used in the water jump.

The system found its way into pop culture through the video for the single Slow by Kylie Minogue , which director Baillie Walsh shot there in August 2003.
