Prissac is a French municipality with 613 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Indre in the Region Center-Val de Loire ; it belongs to the Arrondissement of Le Blanc and the canton of Saint-Gaultier (until 2015: canton of Bélâbre ). The inhabitants are called Prissacois .

geography

Prissac is located about 50 kilometers southwest of Châteauroux on the Abloux River . Prissac is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Oulches in the north, Luzeret in the northeast, Sacierges-Saint-Martin in the east and southeast, Dunet in the south, Lignac in the southwest and Chalais in the west and northwest.
