Bélâbre is a French municipality with 968 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Indre in the Region Center-Val de Loire ; it belongs to the Arrondissement of Le Blanc and the canton of Saint-Gaultier (until 2015: canton of Bélâbre ). The inhabitants are called Bélabrais .

Bélâbre is located about 50 kilometers southwest of Châteauroux am Anglin . Bélâbre is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Ruffec in the north, Ciron in the northeast, Chalais in the east, Lignac in the southwest, Liglet in the south and southwest, Mauvières in the west and Le Blanc in the northwest.
