Tournon-Saint-Martin is a small western French municipality with 1159 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Indre in the Region Center-Val de Loire . The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement of Le Blanc and the canton of Le Blanc (until 2015: canton of Tournon-Saint-Martin ). The inhabitants are called Tournonnais .

location

Tournon-Saint-Martin is located about 45 kilometers east-northeast of Poitiers on the Creuse , which borders the municipality in the west and into which the Suin flows here. Tournon-Saint-Martin is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Tournon-Saint-Pierre and Bossay-sur-Claise in the north, Lureuil in the east, Pouligny-Saint-Pierre in the southeast, Preuilly-la-Ville in the south, Lurais in the southwest and Néons- sur-Creuse to the west and north-west. The municipality's train station is on the Paris – Bordeaux line .
