Mauvières is located about 50 kilometers southwest of Châteauroux on the Anglin River . Mauvières is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Le Blanc in the north, Bélâbre in the east and south-east, Liglet in the south, Saint-Hilaire-sur-Benaize in the south and south-west and Concremiers in the west and north-west.
