Mauvières is a French municipality with 310 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Indre in the Region Center-Val de Loire ; it belongs to the Arrondissement of Le Blanc and the canton of Saint-Gaultier (until 2015: canton of Bélâbre ). The inhabitants are called Mauvisiens .
geography
Mauvières is located about 50 kilometers southwest of Châteauroux on the Anglin River . Mauvières is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Le Blanc in the north, Bélâbre in the east and south-east, Liglet in the south, Saint-Hilaire-sur-Benaize in the south and south-west and Concremiers in the west and north-west.
