1893 As the main Roman Catholic church of the city of Hamburg, it was built in neo-Romanesque style with two towers (the only church with two towers in the old Hamburg city area) according to plans by Arnold Güldenpfennig . The design of the west facade ties in with the Bremen Cathedral . It is the first new Catholic church in Hamburg since the Reformation in 1517.
