rAmoNa RocKs (* 1986 in West Berlin ), also known as Ramona Rockenhausen , is a German speaker, actress , singer , composer , instrumentalist , industrial model and comedian .

Life

rAmoNa RocKs was born in Berlin and grew up there in the Neukölln district .

Already at the age of five she learned scales and chord progressions on the Yamaha Electone organ at home and played melodies from the radio on her own, accompanied by the appropriate chords. As a pupil she sang in the choir and learned piano at the music school when she was twelve. At the age of 16 she learned to play guitar and electric bass in private lessons, which she continued to do self-taught a little later. At the age of 17 she was the first lead singer and guitarist in her band, which was produced by Frank Becking and Lars Kubic from Trick & Kubic . In 2002 Ramona Rocks composed music and lyrics for the song “Never give up” for the ARD hit series “ Berlin, Berlin ”. This was also produced together with Frank Becking and Lars Kubic, at that time still under the stage name Candy. The song is on samplers the major label BMG and Sony Music available and was of the band "Two is One" ge covert . She can currently be heard singing regularly in animated films and cartoons .

In order to be able to work more freely, she learned various musical instruments autodidactically and deepened her knowledge in the areas of singing, music production, mixing and mastering at the Berlin University of the Arts , the Berlin State Music Academy and the ebam Academy. She learned her singing skills from Angelika Weiz , Bianka Speina (Backings Jennifer Rush ), Rachelle Jeanty (Backings Celine Dion ), Dorothee Dalg, Dan, Patrick Kukwa and Jocelyn B. Smith . In the following years Ramona sang in various studio projects and bands. In the acting area she played the role of "Nuria", one of the leading roles in the online soap 90sechzig90, which was produced by T-Online from 2000 to 2002. She was trained by Teresa Nawrot at the Reduta Drama School . Ramona Rocks is still primarily active as a speaker, actress and comedian. In the music sector, as a composer, she moves stylistically in the areas of rock , pop , EDM (electronic dance music) , production music and bluegrass in German and English.

Since 2017 she has been working as a speaker under her name Ramona Rockenhausen in the areas of dubbing , advertising , voiceover / documentary, explanatory films , industrial films , mood films, anime , tutorials and games .

From the sixth season of Orange Is the New Black , she speaks the role of Blanca Flores in German with a Spanish accent and in Spanish (Latin America). In the Netflix series Pine Gap and Tidelands, which were newly released at the end of 2018 , she speaks continuous roles from the start.

Since 2018 she has been working as a speaker in the area of audio description . She spoke the audio description of the ZDF / 3sat documentary "An arm's length world" as well as of the movie " Rocca changes the world ".

Ramona Rockenhausen has been writing and producing sketches in which she plays the main role since 2018 . You can see them on their YouTube channel COMEDYquickies.

In 2019 she reached the finals for the SWR3 Comedy Award and appeared in May at the SWR3 Comedy Festival in Bad Dürkheim , Rhineland-Palatinate . Since March 2019 she is touring with her stand up comedy short program "Supple a rappel" by Germany .
