The Rehm is a nature reserve in the Flecken Weferlingen , a district of the city of Oebisfelde-Weferlingen in the Börde district in Saxony-Anhalt .
The nature reserve with the registration number NSG 0011 is 67.69 hectares . It is largely part of the FFH area "Forests on Flechtingen Hills" and completely from the landscape conservation area surrounded "Harbke-Allertal". The area has been under protection since May 1, 1961. The responsible lower nature conservation authority is the district of Börde.
The nature reserve is located southeast of Weferlingen and places the most northerly beech forest complex on shell limestone in eastern Germany under protection. In the north-west it borders on the county road between Walbeck and Hödingen . The state road 42 crosses the forest area from northwest to southeast. To the northwest of the county road, there are further forest areas, otherwise the nature reserve is completely surrounded by agricultural land .
The forest area is characterized by rich forest vegetation. The beech forest on limestone is of beech and hornbeam coined by grape and English oak , maple and wild service tree are accompanied. Moist locations on clayey, water-retaining slate are taken up by the common oak-hornbeam forest .
The forest area is characterized by a rich layer of shrubs and herbs . So come u. a. European eccentric cones , common daphne , single-flowered pearl grass , forest barley , wood twigs and red honeysuckle , purple stendelwort , liverwort and strawberry cinquefoil . Furthermore, u. a. Maianthemum bifolium , Lonicera Periclymenum , Woodruff , bilberry and wavy hair to find.
Areas with coniferous forest can be found in the nature reserve . These are to be converted into deciduous forest appropriate to the location .
