Danny Lohner , actually Daniel Patrick Lohner (born December 13, 1970 in Corpus Christi , Texas ) is an American musician .

Career

Lohner plays bass , guitar and keyboard and has already played in several bands, including a. with Trent Reznor for Nine Inch Nails and the (canceled) project Tapeworm, as well as with Killing Joke , Rob Zombie and Skrew . Like many former members of the Nine Inch Nails, he worked on the album Antichrist Superstar by Marilyn Manson , as Trent Reznor produced the album. Danny Lohner plays the acoustic guitar on the song The Reflecting God .

Under the name Renholdër (re: d lohner backwards) he creates remixes for other artists, e.g. B. A Perfect Circle , for which he was active in one way or another on all previously released albums; be it in playing instruments or as a singer.

In 2003 Danny Lohner produced the soundtrack for the film Underworld . It features productions by well-known post-industrial and metalcore artists such as Skinny Puppy or Dillinger Escape Plan , but also David Bowie , Page Hamilton , A Perfect Circle, Sarah Bettens and Milla Jovovich ; mostly as remixes. In addition, he is represented on the record as a renholder ; he also formed the band The Damning Well for a song with Wes Borland from Limp Bizkit , Richard Patrick from Filter and Josh Freese from A Perfect Circle . This collaboration with Wes Borland and Josh Freese resulted in another band project: Black Light Burns . Danny Lohner works as a producer and will also play guitar, bass and keyboards. He also plays on Maynard James Keenan's side project Puscifer .

As a producer, Lohner has recently helped with Ashes Divide, Fear and the Nervous System (the solo project of Korn guitarist Munky Shaffer), Hollywood Undead, and Japanese musician Hyde.
