Richard Lynch

Richard Hugh Lynch (born February 12, 1940 in Brooklyn , New York - † June 19, 2012 in Los Angeles , California ) was an American actor .

Life

Lynch joined the United States Marine Corps in 1958 and served four years. In 1967 he set himself on fire while intoxicated with LSD , which resulted in his scarred face. He took acting lessons from Uta Hagen and Lee Strasberg and initially played in Broadway and Off-Broadway performances. He had in 1973 in which the his film debut Golden Palm of the International Film Festival of Cannes winning feature film asphalt flowers .

He subsequently had a career as a television actor and was a frequent guest star on television series such as Starsky & Hutch , Airwolf , Baywatch - The Lifeguards of Malibu and Six Feet Under for over three decades . In 1978 he starred in five episodes of the science fiction series Battle Star Galactica . For his portrayal of Titus Cromwell in Talon in the fight against the Empire , he was awarded the Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actor in 1983 ; Most of his other feature film appearances were in B-movies like Cyborg III or Alligator II - The Mutation , exceptions are Little Nikita and Rob Zombie's remake of Halloween 2007 and his horror thriller The Lords of Salem .
