The Rodeo Drive ( emphasis on the second syllable of Ro'deo ) is in a northern ( N. Rodeo Drive ) and southern ( S. Rodeo Drive ) section was subdivided and from Wilshire Boulevard shared street in Beverly Hills , a city in Los Angeles County of the US state California . Rodeo Drive runs for a total of approximately 2 miles (3.2 km) between Sunset Boulevard in the north and S. Beverwil Drive not far from W. Pico Boulevard in the south . The street is primarily known for the dense settlement of international luxury brands with high-priced goods in one of its sub-sections.

The name of the Rodeo Drive comes from the Spanish translation of the Indian expression for 'accumulation of water', El Rodeo de las Aguas , as there were fertile swamps at the site during the times of Spanish colonial rule . Until the early 1950s, as Beverly Hills' urban development progressed, the street was nothing more than a horse-drawn path. It wasn't until the 1970s that the only three blocks or 500  meter long section of N. Rodeo Drive between Wilshire Boulevard and Santa Monica Boulevard developed into an exclusive shopping and promenade that is not only popular with the wealthy and prominent residents of the area used, but is also an attraction for tourists .

Today, N. Rodeo Drive is a four-lane street divided by a green strip and partly lined with palm trees . Land prices and rents are now among the highest in the world, from which the surrounding streets such as Beverly Drive and Cañon Drive in the so-called Golden Triangle also benefit. This 'Golden Triangle' with numerous shops and restaurants is bordered by the intersecting streets of Wilshire Boulevard (to the south), Santa Monica Boulevard (to the northwest) and Cañon Drive (to the east). S. Rodeo Drive is a two lane office and residential street.

International fashion brands such as Giorgio Armani , Gucci , Dolce & Gabbana , Ermenegildo Zegna , Prada , Valentino , Salvatore Ferragamo , Brioni , Max Mara , Bottega Veneta , Roberto Cavalli , Hugo Boss , Bally , Dior , Yves Saint Laurent , Hermès , Chanel , Louis Vuitton , Lacoste , Ralph Lauren , Judith Leiber , Michael Kors , Tom Ford or Brooks Brothers , Guess Jeans , Bijan Beverly Hills , Juicy Couture and others run stores on Rodeo Drive. Are also represented Rolex , Montblanc , Omega , Bang & Olufsen or jewelers such as Bulgari ( One Rodeo Drive ), Cartier , de Beers , Van Cleef & Arpels and Harry Winston and a few restaurants . Also on the cross street Brighton Way, located in the middle of the boulevard, numerous exclusive boutiques such as Wolford , Anne Fontaine , Christofle , Emporio Armani , Brunello Cuccinelli , Jaeger-LeCoultre , IWC or Oilily have settled due to lack of space .

The street is also home to the most expensive shopping malls in the world. They include The Rodeo Collection (421 N. Rodeo Drive) with shops on five sales levels above and below ground such as Eres , Hervé Leger , La Perla , Stuart Weitzman and also facilities for plastic surgery . On the other hand, the Two Rodeo boutiques from Versace , Stefano Ricci (previously Gianfranco Ferré ), Lanvin , Porsche Design , Jimmy Choo , Vilebrequin , Breguet , Georg Jensen , Lalique , Tiffany & Co. , can be found in the early 1990s Cell phone manufacturer Vertu and others as well as three restaurants. Two Rodeo Drive is a short street, also called Via Rodeo , parallel to the beginning of Rodeo Drive between Dayton Way and Wilshire Boulevard with a fountain , a piazza , a 'Spanish Steps' and balconies, giving the impression of a European cobblestone shopping street. Right next to it, on Wilshire Boulevard, is the famous Beverly Wilshire Hotel .

At the intersection of N. Rodeo Drive and Dayton Way, a sculpture made of silver-colored aluminum in the form of a female torso by the artist Robert Graham was set up in 2003 on the green strip in the middle of the street .

The northern portion of N. Rodeo Drive between Santa Monica Boulevard and Sunset Boulevard is an elegant residential street.
