Roderich Straub

Roderich Straub (born May 11, 1847 in Stockach ; † November 7, 1925 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) was a lawyer and state commissioner who had been in the Baden state service since 1873 , comparable to a current district president .

Roderich Straub was the son of the mayor and lawyer Sebastian Straub in Stockach and the Kreszentia née Wech. He married Sophia Theresia, born Ostner on June 4, 1881 in Meßkirch (born July 15, 1861 in Meßkirch, † September 15, 1943 in Freiburg im Breisgau), daughter of the princely Fürstenberg forest administrator Albert Ostner and Franziska born Roder. From this marriage there were four children: Roderich (* August 12, 1886), Gertrud (* August 2, 1887), Sophie (* September 5, 1888) and Martha (* December 17, 1890).

education

After attending the high school in Karlsruhe and the high school in Konstanz , where he passed his Abitur on August 12, 1865 , he began studying law at the University of Heidelberg in the winter semester of 1865/66 . After moving to the University of Munich and the University of Freiburg , he completed his studies in the winter semester of 1868/69 at the University of Heidelberg. After successfully passing the first state examination , he became a legal intern on March 2, 1871 . During his further training he went through the following positions: trainee at the Stockach district court , secretary at the Karlsruhe district and court court , trainee at the Stockach district office . He passed the second state examination on May 21, 1873 with the grade sufficiently successful.

Political activity

Roderich Straub was in 1889/90, 1891/92, 1893/94, 1895/96, 1897/99 and 1899/1900 a member of the Baden Estates Assembly for electoral district 2 ( Amt Meßkirch and places of the district Stockach) of the 10th to 15th Landtag . In 1898 his mandate expired as a result of being promoted to Paragraph 40a of the Baden Constitution, after which he was re-elected. Straub belonged to the National Liberal Party .
