Race days
RBL season 2012

The rowing Bundesliga season 2013 was the fifth season of the rowing Bundesliga . It lasted from May to September and consisted of five days of racing. The name sponsor was the consulting company "PRODYNA AG".

mode

On every race weekend, the eighth of each league row in a time trial in which all teams complete the distance against the clock. After the results of these so-called time trials, the pairings for the following round of 16 will be set. The final round consists of eighth, quarter, half and final races, which are held in a knockout system . Every placement is carried out in order to be able to assign points to the teams. The winner of a race weekend wins 16 points, each boat placed further one point less. The table results in the individual leagues result from the addition of the points gained by each club boat on the racing weekends.

Race days

1st race day

The 2013 season kicked off on May 11th in front of around 10,000 spectators in the Main -Arena in Frankfurt. In the run-up, the eight of the Frankfurt rowing company Germania and the Gießen eight competed against each other in the ZDF television garden . In the women, the Alsterachter of the rowing company Hansa Hamburg won, in the men the Dole-eight of the RC Favorite Hammonia Hamburg.

2nd race day

The second day of the race took place on June 8th on the Kalksee in Rüdersdorf. The day's victory went to the Crefelder RC for women, and the Frankfurt rowing company Germania won for men.

3rd race day

The third stage of the rowing Bundesliga took place in Duisburg on August 3rd. In front of around 3,000 spectators, the eight of the Crefeld rowing club won the races on the Duisburg- Wedau regatta course for both men and women . Duisburg was also the first race day of the 2013 season for the juniors.

4th race day

The penultimate race day of the season took place on August 17th in Kassel and thus at the same time as the city's 1100 year celebration on the Fulda . It was the first time that the rowing Bundesliga made a stop in Kassel. The winners of the day were the eighth of the Crefeld Rowing Club in front of a total of around 2000 spectators for both men and women. Kassel was also the second and thus the last venue for the German Junior Rowing League.

5th race day

The season finale will take place on September 14th on the Inner Alster in Hamburg. Due to the local conditions, the race was only started over a shortened race distance of 270 meters (actually 350 meters). The two teams of the Crefelder rowing club were able to secure the day's victory as well as the overall victory of the 2013 season.
