Saint-Loup is located about eight kilometers east-northeast of the city center of Cosne-Cours-sur-Loire . Saint-Loup is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Vérain in the north and northeast, Alligny-Cosne in the east, Pougny in the south, Saint-Père in the southwest and Cours in the west.
