The Celtic deity Bolvinnus is attested by two dedicatory inscriptions in Bouhy in the former settlement area of the Senones in the Roman province of Lugdunensis . A goddess Duna ( Marti Bolv / inno Dun [ati] ) named in the first inscription is believed to be the source deity of the place.

At the end of the 17th century, Philippe de Troussebois was the lord of Bouhy-le-Tertre, as the place was then called.

The population of the place has decreased continuously since 1962 (749 inhabitants).

Attractions

The Saint Pélerin de Bouhy church was built in the 16th century and was used as a place of worship until 1926. The Saint Pélerin fountain and the Sainte Anne chapel, as well as two restored windmills - Moulin Blot and Moulin Plançon - are also among the notable structures.

In the middle of the village there is a water tower that was built on the site of a former pond.
