Neuvy-sur-Loire is a French commune with 1,438 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Nièvre in the region of Bourgogne Franche-Comté . It belongs to the arrondissement of Cosne-Cours-sur-Loire and is part of the canton of Pouilly-sur-Loire (until 2015: canton of Cosne-Cours-sur-Loire-Nord ). She is a member of the Communauté de communes Loire et Nohain .
geography
Neuvy-sur-Loire is the westernmost commune in the Nièvre department. It is located about 60 kilometers southwest of Auxerre on the Loire , which also forms the western municipal boundary. Neuvy-sur-Loire is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Bonny-sur-Loire in the north and north-west, Thou in the north, Annay in the east, La Celle-sur-Loire in the south and south-east, Sury-près-Léré in the south and south-west, Belleville -sur-Loire in the southwest and Beaulieu-sur-Loire in the west.
The A77 autoroute runs through the municipality .
