Myennes is a French municipality with 532 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Nièvre in the region of Bourgogne Franche-Comté . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Cosne-Cours-sur-Loire and is part of the canton of Cosne-Cours-sur-Loire (until 2015: Canton of Cosne-Cours-sur-Loire-Nord ). She is a member of the Communauté de communes Loire et Nohain .

geography

Myennes is about 61 kilometers southwest of Auxerre on the Loire , which also forms the western municipal boundary. Myennes is surrounded by the neighboring communities of La Celle-sur-Loire in the north, Cosne-Cours-sur-Loire in the south and east and Boulleret in the west.

The A77 autoroute and the former Route nationale 7 (today's D907) run through the municipality .
