Saint-Pierre-de-Mézoargues is a French municipality with 207 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Bouches-du-Rhône in the region of Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur .
geography
The place is less than a kilometer from the left bank of the Rhone , between the towns of Vallabrègues and Boulbon . The border with the neighboring town of Vallabrègues, which also forms the border with the Gard department and thus also with the Occitania region, runs right next to the town center .
history
The exact meaning of the name "Mézoargues" is controversial. It could mean “Maison des Eaux” (House of Waters) . Until 1992 the place was only called "Mézoargues".
