history
In the 15th century, Federico da Montefeltro had his military architect Francesco di Giorgio Martini convert the previous building, which was enthroned on a sandstone cliff above the town, into a residence for his daughter Gentile Feltria and her husband Agostino Giovanni Fregoso. The Rocca Fregoso was later used as a monastery of the Minorites , then as a school, prison, district court and finally as an apartment. A museum on the subject of " fairy tales " is now set up in four rooms .
Until the end of 2009 the municipality still belonged to the province of Pesaro and Urbino ( Marken ), but due to a referendum it was added to the province of Rimini.
