Schlichtenberg Forest

The Schlichtenberger Wald is a community-free area in the Lower Bavarian district of Freyung-Grafenau in Bavaria .

The 17.80 km² large state forest borders it on the Annathaler Wald , Philippsreut , Leopoldsreuter Wald , Graineter Wald , Hinterschmiding and Mauth . There are six enclaves in the area . Two belong to Hinterschmiding, one to Mauth, two to Philippsreut and one to Haidmühle .

The area is part of the Bavarian Forest Nature Park and the conservation area, LSG Bavarian Forest .
