Leopoldsreuter Forest
The Leopoldsreuter Forest is a community-free area in the Lower Bavarian district of Freyung-Grafenau .
The 14.79 km² large state forest lies between the Philippsreuter Forest , Haidmühle , Frauenberger and Duschlberger Forest , Graineter Forest and Schlichtenberger Forest . There are eight enclaves in the area that belong to the municipality of Haidmühle.
The forest is part of the Bavarian Forest Nature Park and the conservation area, LSG Bavarian Forest . Parts of the area belong to the fauna-flora-habitat area Bischofsreuter Waldhufen .
In the Leopoldsreuter Forest there is the Abrahamsfilz high moor near Theresienreuth , which has been designated by the Bavarian State Office for the Environment (LfU) as a geoscientific geotope (geotope number 184A001).
