The Seoul World Cup Stadium ( Korean : 서울 월드컵 경기장 ) is a football stadium in the South Korean capital, Seoul .
history
The arena, which opened in November 2001, has a capacity of 66,806 spectators, all of which have seats, and is the second largest stadium in the country after the Seoul Olympic Stadium. It has been the home of FC Seoul since 2004 .
The 66,704 seats include 806 VIP seats, 754 seats in the press stand and the seats in the 75 VIP boxes. The roof spans 90 percent of the grandstand seats. A total of 3,601 parking spaces are available in and around the stadium. The stadium has a total area of 155,674 square meters inside. The highest point of the stadium is 49.6 meters. Since the 2002 World Cup, the Seoul World Cup Stadium has developed into a sports, cultural and shopping complex alongside football.
The construction costs of around 180 million euros make it the third most expensive of the ten South Korean World Cup stadiums - all ten Japanese arenas, on the other hand, were more expensive.
On October 19, 2014, the final of the World Championship of the League of Legends computer game took place.

In the 2002 FIFA World Cup where three games were, as in almost all of the 20 World Cup stadiums, instead of including the opening match between Senegal and France and the semi-final between Germany and South Korea .
