Simon Eric Mattsson (* 1993 ) is a professional Swedish poker player who mainly plays online . He led the online poker world rankings for a total of 67 weeks .

Poker career

Mattsson plays online on all major platforms. He had his greatest successes as C. Darwin2 on PokerStars , where he had tournament revenues of over 10 million US dollars . As Hellmuththegr8 , he also earned almost 4 million US dollars at partypoker . Under the nicknames C Darwin2 ( Full Tilt Poker ) and C-D4rwin (PokerStars.FR) he earned around 400,000 US dollars each, at 888poker as Isildur1337x more than 650,000 US dollars. Overall, his online tournament revenues are over 16 million US dollars, making him one of the most successful online tournament players worldwide. Mattsson received his biggest online win in December 2019 when he finished second in the main event of the High Roller Series on PokerStars for around $ 338,500. From mid-February 2016, for the first time for 7 weeks, he was number one in the PocketFives ranking, which lists the most successful online poker tournament players worldwide. From December 30, 2017 to May 18, 2018, he led the world rankings for the eighth time, a total of 67 weeks. Only Cliff Josephy and Niklas Åstedt held the position longer.

At the beginning of October 2012 Mattsson finished 47th at the main event of the European Poker Tour in Sanremo and received 14,000 euros in prize money. In February 2013 he finished second at an EPT side event in Deauville for 33,000 euros. Beginning in July 2014 Mattsson was the first time in the World Series of Poker in the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas successful and came at an event of the variant No-Limit Hold'em in the money. In mid-December 2014 Mattsson reached the final table at the EPT Main Event in Prague and came in fifth for prize money of around 235,000 euros. In February 2017 he won the High Roller of the Winter Poker Championship in Seefeld with a prize of almost 90,000 euros. At the PokerStars Championship in Barcelona at the end of August 2017, he prevailed against 780 other players in a side event and secured his highest prize money to date of just under 300,000 euros.

Overall, Mattsson has earned almost $ 1.5 million in poker in live tournaments.
