Jewhen Tymoshenko ( Ukrainian Євген Тимошенко ; English transcription Yevgeniy Timoshenko ; born February 8, 1988 in Kharkiv , Ukrainian SSR ) is a professional Ukrainian poker player .

Personal

Tymoshenko emigrated with his family to the United States at the age of ten and moved with them to Mukilteo , Washington state . Today he lives in Seattle .

Poker career

Tymoshenko pursued in 2004 , the Main Event of the World Series of Poker and so was first introduced to poker in contact. He has been playing online since July 2006 under the nicknames Jovial Gent ( PokerStars ) , bballer88 ( Full Tilt Poker ) , convivialguy (Absolute Poker) , Shenk0 ( Unibet ) and timosy (Bodog) . In mid-September 2009 , Tymoshenko won the Main Event of the World Championship of Online Poker on PokerStars . This victory at the major online tournament in the world earned him a prize of more than 1.7 million US dollars a. In total, he recorded online tournament winnings totaling almost five million US dollars. For two weeks from May 9 to 23, 2007, he was at the top of the PocketFives ranking, which lists the most successful online poker tournament players worldwide.

At the Main Event of the World Series of Poker 2013 , Tymoshenko reached the seventh day of the tournament and finished the event in 22nd place for just under 300,000 US dollars. In early February 2014, he won the A $ 100,000 Challenge of the Aussie Millions Poker Championship in Melbourne with a prize of two million Australian dollars . In early February 2016, Tymoshenko sat at the final table of the WPT Main Event for the second time and finished fifth in Atlantic City for more than $ 200,000 in prize money.
