Stare Czaple ( German Alt Tschapel , 1936-1945 Stobertal ) is a place of Gmina Kluczbork in the Opole Voivodeship in Poland .

geography

Stare Czaple is located in the northwestern part of Upper Silesia in the Kreuzburger Land. Stare Czaple is located about seven kilometers west of the municipality of Kluczbork and about 52 kilometers northeast of the voivodeship capital Opole.

Stare Czaple is located on the Stober and the Baryczka ( Bartsch-Bach ). The regional road Droga krajowa 42 runs north of the village .

Neighboring towns of Stare Czaple are in the northeast Smardy Dolne ( Nieder Schmardt ), in the east Ligota Dolna ( Nieder Ellguth ), in the south Bogacica ( Bodland ) and in the west Markotów Duży ( Margsdorf ).

history

Alt Tschapel is first mentioned as Schaple in 1261 . In 1274 the village is mentioned as Sczepil .

In 1845 there was a Vorwerk and another 19 houses in the village. In the same year, 147 people lived in Alt Tschapel, 31 of them Protestants. In 1874 the district of Nieder Ellguth is founded, to which Alt Tschapel belongs. In 1888 155 people lived in the village.

In 1933, 160 people lived in Alt Tschapel. On May 27, 1936, the village was renamed Stobertal . In 1939 Stobertal had 162 inhabitants. Until 1945 the village belonged to the Kreuzburg OS district

As a result of World War II, Stobertal fell under Polish administration in 1945, like most of Silesia . The place was subsequently renamed Stare Czaple and joined the Silesian Voivodeship. In 1950 it was incorporated into the Opole Voivodeship. In 1999 the place came to the newly founded Powiat Kluczborski ( Kreuzburg district ).

On January 1st, 2019 the village name will be changed from Stare Czaple to Czaple Stare .
