Bogdańczowice ( German Wüttendorf ) is a place of Gmina Kluczbork in the Opole Voivodeship in Poland .

geography

Bogdańczowice is located in the northwestern part of Upper Silesia in the Kreuzburger Land. Bogdańczowice is about four kilometers east of the municipal seat of Kluczbork and about 51 kilometers northeast of the voivodeship capital Opole.

Bogdańczowice is located on the Iłowiec .

Neighboring towns of Bogdańczowice are in the north Kujakowice Górne ( Ober Kunzendorf ), in the northeast Biadacz ( Ludwigsdorf ), in the southeast Bąków ( Bankau ) and in the southwest Ligota Górna ( Ober Ellguth ).

history

The place is first mentioned in 1244 as Bogdensowitz . In 1405 the village was mentioned as Welwendorff .

In 1845 there was a Protestant school in the village. In the same year 220 people lived in Wüttendorf, 42 of them Catholic. In 1861 the village had 260 inhabitants.

In 1933 353 people lived in Wüttendorf. In 1939 the place again had 338 inhabitants. Until 1945 the village belonged to the Kreuzburg OS district

As a result of the Second World War, Wüttendorf fell under Polish administration in 1945, like most of Silesia . Subsequently, the place was renamed Bogdańczowice and joined the Silesian Voivodeship. In 1950 it was incorporated into the Opole Voivodeship. In 1999 the place came to the newly founded Powiat Kluczborski ( Kreuzburg district ).

Attractions

  • Wüttendorf Castle was built in the 1860s under the von Glasenapp family in the classical style. In 2014 the property was completely renovated. Today the Johann Dzierzon boarding school is located here ( ZSCKR im. Ks dr Jana Dzierżona ).
