Stefan Schmitz (born August 23, 1971 in Berlin ) is a former German racing cyclist .

From 1987 to 2000 Stefan Schmitz was active as a cyclist and from 1993 to 2000 belonged to the German elite . With his pacemaker Manfred Schmadtke he was third in the German standing championship in Forst in 1996 and German standing master in Bielefeld in 1997 . In 2000 he ended his active career.
